Built in Switzerland, the BitBox02 Nova is the next-generation hardware wallet for securely managing your bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies, depending on the edition). It combines Swiss-made quality with enhanced security and refined design.

BitBox02 Nova can be used on all major platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. This makes it compatible with all major desktop and mobile devices, including iPhone and iPad.

The new crystal-clear glass display improves durability and readability, while the intuitive touch interface ensures smooth operation. A certified EAL6+ secure chip protects your private keys from unauthorized access. Backup is simple using the included microSD card, with the option to display BIP-39 recovery words and store them on paper.

BitBox02 Nova runs open-source firmware for full transparency. It supports both USB-C and (optional) Bluetooth Low Energy via Whisper, our custom minimal-trust BLE architecture. Whisper ensures all communication is end-to-end encrypted and runs on a separate chip with no memory and no access to wallet secrets. This preserves full user control without compromising security. If not needed, all Bluetooth communication can be disabled.

BitBox02 Nova editions

Bitcoin-only edition

Focused exclusively on Bitcoin, this edition removes support for other cryptocurrencies to reduce complexity and potential attack surfaces. Ideal for users who only use Bitcoin and prioritize simplicity.

Multi edition

Store and protect Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) with ERC20 tokens, Cardano (ADA), Litecoin (LTC), and 1500+ additional token (see full list of supported coins). Includes FIDO U2F for secure login to services like Google, GitHub, and Dropbox. Suitable for users managing multiple assets or looking for added authentication features.
